Celebrating Outstanding Care: Good Care Month 2025 Winners Announced 🎉

July was about recognising the remarkable individuals who make a real difference in the care sector, and the response was nothing short of inspiring.

At Delphi Care Solutions we think it’s often the little things that make the biggest difference. Whether it’s remembering a resident’s favourite drink, bringing them their morning paper, or simply offering a smile at just the right moment, which is why for Good Care Month, we invited Care Providers to nominate their staff as a sign of appreciation for all that they do to win them a M&S afternoon tea gift.

We received many beautiful nominations and within those were our four winners:

Meet Our Winners 💗

Neil Taylor

Neil, a Support Worker at County Care Group Ltd Lincolnshire, was nominated by their Quality & Compliance Director, and it’s easy to see why.

In just 4 months, he’s made a life-changing impact supporting a young man who is blind and has an acquired brain injury. With patience, empathy, and a willingness to take positive risks, Neil has built a truly inspiring relationship, helping this young man live his best life. From horse-riding to archery, Neil goes the extra mile every day – without ever seeking praise.

Libby Eason-Coulson

Libby, a Auxiliary Nurse Coordinator at Brookfields Private Nursing Home Ltd was nominated for her commitment to helping her residents.

One of their bed-bound residents had been receiving debt collection letters for energy usage at her home address, despite not having lived there for the past five months. She was understandably worried about bailiffs entering the property while she wasn’t there. The bills were based on estimated readings, so the wonderful Libby, with the resident’s permission, travelled to the house, read the outdoor meters herself, and helped submit accurate readings. As a result, over £100 was knocked off the bill, and the resident was finally able to sleep better that night.

Brenda

At 85 years young, Brenda, a dedicated volunteer at Kara Healthcare, goes far beyond the duties of a typical volunteer. Her gentle leadership draws people, bridges age gaps, and makes every resident feel valued.

Brenda doesn’t step in to fill time, she fills lives with meaning

One of Brenda’s most touching impacts was during a drum circle session. A previously withdrawn resident, usually disengaged and silent, began tapping along to the beat with a light in his eyes. His daughter later shared, “I haven’t seen Dad so lively in years, Brenda brought a piece of him back.”

Another powerful moment came during her Memory Lane project, when a resident lit up while recounting her wedding day, a memory her son said he hadn’t heard in decades. Brenda’s unique ability to unlock joy through rhythm and reminiscence has made a lasting difference.

Caroline Kitchen

Caroline from Ellie Sunrise Healthcare Ltd was recognised for sitting with a terminally ill patient for hours beyond her shift, offering comfort, dignity, and love when family couldn’t be there. In their final days, her presence made all the difference.

Not only that, but Caroline also mentors new staff with incredible patience and a great sense of humour, helping turn high staff turnover into lasting team retention at her branch.
