When challenges overlap, support should connect the dots.

Our way of working
Understand the reality. Make the next step clear.
We begin with the questions facing your service, not a fixed consultancy checklist. Together we identify the areas to review and agree what practical progress should look like.
Listen to your leaders and team
Understand the service, its care model, current issues and what people are experiencing.
Review practice and oversight
Examine the agreed evidence, routines, governance systems and operational arrangements.
Set realistic priorities
Identify specific improvements, owners, practical support needs and suitable timescales.
Support and review progress
Where commissioned, help teams embed actions and review whether changes are working.
Connecting regulation with practice
The right standards. A more practical approach.
Strong operational support should reflect both what regulators expect and what managers and care teams need to deliver safely and consistently.
Good governance
Assess, monitor and improve quality and safety, keep records appropriately, understand risks and act on feedback.

Independent expertise that listens as well as advises.
Care consultancy is most useful when staff feel able to share what happens in practice and leaders can turn the findings into meaningful improvements. Our wider assessment work demonstrates that approach.

Your questions, answered clearly.
Understand how practical clinical and operational consultancy can work alongside your existing managers and care teams.
Discuss your situationWhat is clinical and operational support for care services?
It is a tailored consultancy service that helps care providers review operational arrangements, quality systems, leadership, regulatory expectations and service improvement priorities. The scope may cover several connected issues rather than one isolated problem.
Does Delphi replace a Registered Manager or clinical professional?
No. This consultancy does not automatically transfer statutory, professional or registered management responsibilities. Roles, competence, decision-making authority and any direct clinical input must be agreed separately and remain subject to applicable requirements.
Can you help us meet CQC governance requirements?
Yes. We can review governance, audit systems, records, risks and improvement planning in relation to applicable CQC standards, including Regulation 17. We cannot guarantee compliance findings or a particular inspection rating.
Can this support include staffing and workforce issues?
Staffing structure, competence, supervision, leadership and workforce routines may be included in the agreed scope. Staffing levels should reflect the needs of the people using the service; there is no single universal staff-to-resident ratio for all adult care services.
Do you offer one-off reviews and ongoing support?
Yes. Depending on your requirements, we can discuss a defined review, a particular improvement project or broader ongoing consultancy. Services, availability, responsibilities and commercial terms are agreed individually.
Can clinical and operational consultancy help after a CQC inspection?
It can help leaders understand the operational implications of findings, prioritise suitable actions and strengthen governance and practice. Any regulator response deadlines, mandatory notifications and legal responsibilities must still be met.
How does this differ from a mock CQC inspection?
A mock inspection is a defined independent assessment of readiness and evidence. Clinical and operational support is broader and may involve mentoring, reviewing management routines, improving policies or supporting the implementation of change. The two can complement each other.
What happens after our initial enquiry?
We discuss the service type, current pressures and intended outcomes, then consider the expertise and scope appropriate to your situation. Please avoid sharing identifiable resident or patient information in an initial marketing enquiry.
A conversation built around your service
Let’s connect the challenges. And make the next step clearer.
Whether you need an independent perspective, leadership guidance or broader operational improvement, tell us where support would make the greatest difference.
What would help your service move forward?
Share your organisation type, the main priorities and relevant timescales. Please do not include identifiable resident or patient records.
